Lockheed Martin is developing NASA’s X-59 Quiet SuperSonic Technology (QueSST) airplane with innovative technologies to reduce loud sonic booms. NASA anticipates that these new technologies will be implemented on supersonic commercial passenger aircraft in the future. Arcata engineers and technicians designed and assembled a Mobile Operations Facility (MOF) that will support the first phase ground and flight tests. The MOF includes a telemetry front end data processor and recording, distribution and monitoring system (WINGS) as well as UHF comm system.
